State Qualifying Forms - 2019
If you are in grades 1-4 in dressage and/or in grades A-D in show jumping, there are now forms you can use to record your results at competitions you enter during the year. These will be used to help select SMZ's state riders in dressage and show jumping. Please note the addition of both grade 4 for dressage and D grade for show jumping. You can download these forms by following the links below.

Tooradin Horse Trials 17th March 2018
Another successful day at SMZ's JB Tooradin Horse Trials on the 18th March 2018. For all who conquered the rain, brief spurt of hail as well as the continuous wind all day and kept working on whatever task you had; great work!! We hope you achieved a personal best or got closer to your goal to qualify for states.
A big thank you for all the riders and helpers on the day who made this event a huge success.
We look forward to the SMZ Mini Tooradin Teams Horse Trials event coming up on 27th May. Forms will be sent out to your Club committee shortly. Make sure that you get the word out to your club members about this wonderful fun team event!

C Certificate - Important Information
All parents and riders need to be aware of the PCV rule regarding riders entered in a state competition. Rule 34.11a states - "Riders who have been in pony club for more than two years and are aged 14 years & over must have attained their “C” Certificate in order to compete at any state or national competition".
This is non-negotiable and can be heartbreaking to a rider who has the opportunity to ride at an elete level and can't because they have not gained their C certificate. SMZ run regular and well advertised C certificate testing sessiona. Don't be put off by the fear of an 'examination'. The testers are always encouraging and the day can be a real buzz. You also get an opportunity to ride with others from other clubs and make new friends and colleagues outside of competition nervs. The testing dates can be found on the left-hand side of this web-page.
